Default sputtering doesnt idle

i also had a new secondary clutch put in it also. i live near markezan area and i got this machine at extreme mtorsports in waupun. i have taken it back there 3 or 4 times already, i just took it in tuesday and had jeff ride it he said it was acting normally... seems to me that when u floor the atv the rpms go way up before the machine starts to move. maybe ill have to take it somewhere else to get a second opinion

Motor mounts are what mount your engine into the frame. If they're cracked, it can lead to erratic transmission behavior as the engine won't stay stationary when the clutches engage. If the engine moves, it throws off the clutch center-to-center distance and alignment. Bad news if those are broken.

I don't think your idling issues are related to your clutching issues though. I don't really see a common denominator unless your quad is trying to roll forward if idling in gear, which would mean your primary is engaging when it shouldn't be, or your center-to-center clutch distance is off.

i checked out the engine mounts they are fine. i was thinking that the brakes could be too tight somewhere causing the tourq sensing part of the drivin clutch to open slower causing the rpms to be higher maybe thats the problem i dont have time to mess with my atv today. thanks for all your guys help.

i dont know if its anything to do with the clutches or not because they are both brand new and the belt is new also. i dont knwo what is up until i ride another 500HO and see how they compare. i noticed that when give it to spin the rear tires the engine sounds liek your going 60 mph down the road.

thanks guys for all your help
