Default Need info on 04.5 500 HO

I need some one who is able to talk me thru a couple of things. First off is how to change the oil step by step. Also where is the drain plug. (I don't want to drain the wrong one). Second, I need to grease the 3 fittings. What kind of grease do I use on the 2 front ones? What kind for the drive shaft one? Please I don't know anything about how to do this so be specific. Thanks. Dobie

Being a new scooter, you "should" have an Owners Manual. You should refer to that for the lubrication specs.

Changing oil is easy....
Drain the oil box by removing the drain plug (it's the black box on the left hand side of the scoot where you check the oil), unscrew the filter and replace with a new one. To drain the crankcase (additional 1/4 qt or so) you will have to go to the left side of the scoot and look between the frame and where the crankcase meet. Towards the rear of the crankcase you will see a flanged bolt that is in a horizontal orientation. It looks different than those around it. Removing that will drain the small amount from the crankcase.

Refill the system with the proper oil (2 quarts) and make sure your drain plugs are tight and your filter is snug.

You really need to familiarize yourself with the owners manual to do this properly.
