Cigarette Lighter Adapter -Trail Boss 2000
#1
...what a handy mod to have. I mounted one yesterday on my Trail Boss. The whole deal was really cheap to do. Radio Shack sells the kit for in-dash installation. ($5.95) and I picked up a mini in-line fuse and a connection to disconect it under the paneling if I ever need to change the light. (together $4.00) I ran one leed right to the battery and the ground I just screwed into the frame by removing one of screws and tightening it back down. I had to be careful when making a hole in the plastic to put the adapter down into but I choose the spot behind and to the side of the headlight. I used a slow process of starting with a small drill and then using a bigger one to eventually get a hold size big enough. Then I used a dremel tool to notch out some required shapes to fit and lock the plug. GPS, cell phone, additional lighting, CD/MP3 player, air pump.. Why doesn't Polaris just put one of these in to begin with? One in the rear of the Quad would be nice for utility purposes as well.

Allot of Polaris models come with one my SP has one. it is a great feature and not an expensive one , I don't know why they are not standard on all atv's any brand. same as Speedometers and tripometers. Charge a 100 bucks more even 150 no one would really care. The cigarette lighter, speedo and tripometer are a neccesity to me.
