On my 97 Scram, is the fan supposed to be on at ALL times, or is it just for when the bike gets really hot? I couldn't remember today when I was out riding and noticed it not being on. My temp. light never came on though.

 

The cooling fan only comes on if the thermal fan switch in the radiator closes at above normal temp. The high temp indicator light comes on at 105 degrees celsius.
The fan shouldn't run all the time.

 

My fan ran all the time on my 2000 Boss turns out it was just some wires touching each other
