Default painting plastics?

Hey all. I was told that u can pain plastics. Is this true? if so how do u do it? like steps and such and do u need a special kinda paint? AND will it chip and flake if u roll ur quad and bend plastics? My buddy wants to paint his YFZ450 jet black so I am askin for him.

you can but ive heard terrible luck with it and really really good luck. might be better off just buying alnew plastics

they sell plastic paint at like lowes or home depot.

krylon makes a good plastic paint called "FUSION". all kinds of cool colors available. it werks good on alotta plastics... tho i havent ever painted quad plastics....

Ive seen clutch covers painted red ... and its kinda chrome red, its really cool but its not something you can do by your self its takes alot of steps and different coats and cost some money ... so im not sure ...Austin

I you look at my pics the one at the bottom has my painted plastics on it. I would not reccomend krylon fusion i tried it at first and had bad results i prefer to use a rust-o-leum plastic primer then on top of that you can use whatever you want.
