HPD Anti-Vib stem-what bars to go with it?
#1
I got a +2 HPD stem coming, but what handle bars would go best with them? I have the X-Bars high bend, but I think that will be to high with a +2 stem. Anybody have this set-up?

hey GE4x4....I just did a search and pulled up my post from a few days ago. I also am looking for a set of bars, and these guys gave some advice. I think they gave some good bars, I suggested that I am riding mx and xc races. Good luck, the hpd stem is great. Give some info on it, and tell us how you like it. I want to know if it is worth the money. Thanks man. Here is the site.

Thank's for the link. As far as the HPD stem, I thought $269 was quite cheap for a anti-vibe stem, which includes the clamp that will hold all your dummy lights, choke, key switch, and even the tether cord. Very good price!!

wow I didn't realize they were that cheap.....that is nice, my question is how does the tether cord mount to the clamp? Mine is a gunner, and it mounts to the bars usually, but if it could go to the clamp that would be nice too. Another thing, ge...if you would, tell how hard it is to install the stem, include uninstalling to stocker. I want one of these, but want to know how hard it is to do. Ken maybe you could tell us. Why do you guys have +2" stems?? What is the advantage of that? I don't know much about stems and bars, so fill me in if you have time to type. What bars are you going with ge? How do you guys get your grips to stay in one place, nothing makes me more mad that those grips moving on me. Thanks guys.

The Pure Polaris tether snaps right in the tether hole....not sure how you'd adapt one of the others. The stem/clamp are a walk in the park. I did solder in a 2-3" splice in each of the warning light wires to give them a bit more slack. Ya, for the price....considering you're getting a billet clamp, you just can't beat it.
