New pred looks really great! But about the weight issue, nobody brings this up... Do any of you guys jump on your quads? I have a raptor which isnt the lightest thing around. I know the pred and the raptor weigh pretty close. My buddy has a 450r ,and i will say this, You can feel the extra weight in the air BIG time. I can jump his honda way better than i can mine, and thats because of the weight difference , and im comfortable too say i can jump with the best of them. You can flick it, correct it in the air alot easier, and ya just go higher and farther. And the lighter the quad, the less it wears ya out. The preds have closed the gap a little on the new 450's,but weight is still an issue if your trying too compete with a quad made for racing and very aggresive riding.

Bah. I don't race, so the Pred is perfect in my book.

I do need to get that HPD rear bar, though... I'm not tall enough to lift both tires off the ground easily with the stock bar. The new 05 seat and steering stem are going on my machine as soon as they're available.

have you guys ever noticed that the people saying that weight isnt a big issue onl;y talks about driving in a straight line? what about cornering and sliding and jumping or even lofting the front end? try putting your 7000 lbs F-350 superduty diesel with whatever horspepower on ANY kind of track or course and it will get smoked by a 110 hp toyota corolla.

I jump my pred all the time...infact that is about all I do with it since I motocross. I look a lot smoother than most of the guys on 450s, and I know this has a lot to do with your jumping style and everything but I notice the front end on the honda 450s seems to want to go up a little. Don't knock the pred because of the weight. The HP is there to make up for it and there are a few big jumps those 450's with the same work I have done dont have enough power for or can't get hooked up. The weight hasnt once been a factor for me. A pred is the first quad I have ever rode. I used to race a yz 125 dirtbike...that was a ton lighter and the noticeability just isn't there.

You sure about that? I have seen many videos and have witnessed myself some diesels (even lifted duallys) SMOKE mustangs, camaros, and even those fast and furious cars in a drag race. Weight isnt the deciding factor in everything
