It's got a 455cc dry sump liquid cooled single cylinder diesel engine made by Subaru. Bore x Stroke 87.9 x 75 mm and a 19.0:1 compression ratio. All the other specs are the same as the Sportsman except the weight of course which is 755 pounds.

I've just removed the blanking plug that covers the mixture adjustment screw and richened the mixture to make full use of the extra air that I'm blowing into the motor.

After a lot of experiments and loads of testing on the 10% hill that runs past my driveway I found that by unscrewing it a ful 360% I could increase the speed I reached by the first telegraph pole from 17mph to 22mph. That's a hell of an increase on a 10% grade!

It does smoke a little more when I start it now but not at all noticably once it's going.
