Its about time to....
#1
Based on all of the political advertisments on television, its not hard to tell its an election year. I came up with a list of things its about time to do:
1. Register to vote. All states are different, but some require that you register prior to votinng.
2. Find out about the candidates you are voting for. Does he/she support atving as a legitimate use of public land? How has this person voted in the past?
3. Talk to your friends. Many of my atv buddies have no idea what the politicians are doing to try to end riding on public land. Become the ambassador for atving. In two weeks I will be riding with a group from a local GM plant down at Wayne National Forest. Darn well bet I be talking to them. The UAW is Gore's biggest supporter.
4. Join an ATV club. These are the best use of funds and time to promote our sport.
5. Commit to vote. If you plan to be away during voting time, get an absentee ballot. The old excuse of "I don't have time" will not cut it this election. Al Gore and his liberal cohorts will make time for you since you will not be riding atv's anymore.
Feel free to add onto this list.
