I just got a 325 Magnum 4x4 and it is the 2nd edition 2000. I am wandering the samething but I was also wondering if the steering was updated to on the 2nd edition. This past weekend I was out riding and I rode my uncles Magnum 325 2x4 1st edition while he rode mine and we both agreed the new 4x4 steered better than the 2x4. Just curious. Any help is appreiciated.

How do you know it is the second edition year 2000? Does it tell you somewhere? I've got a 2000 model also, bought it in the end of April out of the crate. According to the redesigned rear brakes looks identical to mine. The steering does have side to side play, and the speedometer does get moisture in the case. The brakes do not seem to be wearing excessively. I saw an earlier model where the disc did not have holes in it, is this a clue?

Argo,
Look at the production date decal on the front of your machine. Remember the date.
Go to the Polaris Web Site and look up the parts manuals for the Sportsman. You will note some parts numbers with dates. If your production date is after the part revision you have the updated parts. Hope this helps
