Default trailblazer top end fix

can you do a top end job on a trailblazer with the motor still in the frame?

Yea just pull the plastics and gas tank off to make it a little easier.

can the cylinder be bored or does it have to be sleeved?

It can be bored. There are several bore sizes available. .010, .020, .040, .060, .080. I would start as small as possible and work your way up as you need them. If you go all at once, then something happens, you will need a new jug.

You shouldn't have any problems, but it sure is nice to have a service manual handy (best insurance I ever bought for $30). It'll save you a headache or two. If you don't purchase one, do yourself a favor and label the wires as you disconnect them from the dash. Also, be wary about using aftermarket gaskets. I used a gasket set from a aftermarket supplier and ended up with a hell of a leak from the base gasket. I guess I should have suspected something when I saw that the base gasket was of the metal variety.
