Sportsman 500 AWD question / oil change

Default Sportsman 500 AWD question / oil change

Hey everyone.

Got my sportsman a few weeks ago. some one told me that I should not use AWD all the time only when needed is there a big problem with this?

Alos how long should i wait for my first oil change iI was told from my dealer 150 miles and another dealer said 500 miles.
Please let me know

Default Sportsman 500 AWD question / oil change

You can run it in AWD anytime you want. Cuz it doesnt kick the front wheels in until the rears slip 1/5 more than the front. It wont hurt anything to run it in AWD. The service interval for the oil is every 100 hours or 500 miles, whichever comes first. Now it is different for break in though. I believe you change it after 10 hours? Hopefully someone that knows for sure will chime in on that

BBS hitit right on the head. You can run the WAD all you want and it won't hurt a thing! First oil change is at 10 hours then 50 then every 100 after that

Mine never comes out of AWD and never had a problem. Did my first Oil change at 10hrs after that every 50hrs, they work hard, oil is cheap.....
