Default HELP CHANGING PRIMARY CLUTCH SPRING

Its very simple. Just remove the 6 bolts that hold the cover onto the primary clutch. Before you do that mark the cover so that it goes back on inthe same position as it was taken off. There should be an "X" already, but mark it to be certain. Once you get the bolts out (remove them in a criss cross pattern), then the spring will come out. Put the new one in, and reinstall the cover in the same position it came off. Tighten the bolts in a criss cross pattern and torque the to 90 in. lbs. That simple. It is the same way will all the polaris ATVs

You have to remove the center bolt as well. I thinks its a 5/8. When putting it back together retoque this one to 40ftpds.
