Default ITP Mudlites or 589 m/s??

I'm thinking of getting rid of the badlands on my 04 sportsman 500 HO in favor of either ITP Mudlites or 589 M/S tires-does anyone have either of these tires? any iformation would be appreciated. I'm also thinking of going to 26" tires-will this really hurt the performance of the atv?--Thanks.

I put a set of 589's on my foreman last year, and now have a set going on my new 700 EFI. I swear that in my opinion, they are the greatest. They ride great on dirt, awesome in mud, and suprisingly well on the pavement. Believe it or not, they actually made my bikes steer a little easier. Best of all, they are a 6 ply tire, which means flats are tough to come by. If you want your bike to absolutely go anywhere, the 589 is it. I do like the mudlites, but they just don't dig like I wanted. If you are wanting an all around tire, the mudlite might be your thing. I wanted put all the bike I could on the ground and not worry about getting stuck. Good luck.

I have the 25" mud lites, 25s and smaller have the small lugs. I won a mud competition with them and I didnt have any problems with them settling down and throwing mud. they are silky smooth on pavement and are awesome in snow.
