Default Battery eliminator

Anyone know what size (uF and volts) capacitor is used to eliminate the battery? I have a feeling the capacitor could be bought at radio shack much cheaper than from white bros.

It's been awhile since I sold my bike, but it was a 50VDC cap and it is polarized. I cannot remember the microfared numbers. Take the main charge wire coming off the regulator and hook it up (it is going back to the soleniod right now to hook with the battery cable) to the positive side and ground the negative. My sport actually had a nice bright light with the battery removed.

A friend gave me a 40vdc 11000 uF capacitor. I put it on and fired the quad up but the lights go out at idle. Is this normal or is the capacitor to small?

Any updates on this? I am about to buy an eliminator, but if i could just get a capacitor cheaper then i would do that.

I am wondering about how you hook up the cables to the capacitor though. I have seen the Bat-Pac and that has prongs to bolt the cables to, I don't know about the WB eliminator.
