LONG LIVE THE KING

Answer this. Why is it that Honda still sells more ATV's than anyone else? If someone doesn't like something they don't need to buy it. So this must mean that there are a lot of people out here that still like what Honda makes. If the quad suits your needs and makes you happy then buy it.
Another thing, everyone is talking about the article in Dirt Wheels and how this magazine says the SP500 HO is so much better than the Rubicon and some other quads. Well, it's written on paper so it must be true. It's got to be true. You know, most anyone can make crap look good on paper by using the appropriate words. Just remember these two words: opinion and bias. Oh, there is one way to sway someones opinion. Money.

Honda is the king of sales. That is true, but they have had to get on their horse here lately to keep that title. Only two years ago, Polaris captured the lead for the most quad sales that year. Honda responded with the 400ex, and 450 models. That enabled them to jump back in, and the Rubicon and Rancher boosted their interest big time. Thats what they needed. They relied on their reliability and reputation for the biggest part of the 90's but innovation caught up to them. They realized this and finally got off their *** and popped out some new models. This is good for the industry though.
I have watched these forums, and when I got on here over two years ago, I was surprised that more people talked about Polaris quads than any other. When they switched over to the new forums with post and topic counters, Polaris jumped out to a massive lead over everyone. Honda was 1000 topics and 3000 posts behind Polaris at one point. From the first of the year on up, Honda's Rubicon and Rancher interest spurred a lot of people to post on that forum and they came from down over 2000 posts at the first of the year to take a large lead in that category by August. This is all worthless information, but from a marketing standpoint, it does give you some idea of where the interest lies. The new hondas really turned a lot of head. Notice how the Raptor has spurred an increase in the action on the yamaha forum.

Long Live The King is The Forum Thread. Tell me which Honda in the SP 500 class; out-sells the SP????? Honda had better start adding features or they're going to lose "the over-all" ATV sales Title. Personally, I don't mind a "little" extra maintenance once in a while as long as I can out-perform the competition. Ride'em Hard Polcat

SP500 king of ATV's, no not yet.
They only beat half of the competition. The SP500 still needs to beat the Grizzly, Traxter, Suzuki, & if it comes out this year the new big bore from Kawasaki. So until then, I am going to hang on to my Honda. Actually, if the SP500 does beat them all, I am still going to hang on to my Honda.

when polaris releases ALL of is 2001 models, including the sp700, that will really take the cake from honda!!! the quality thing between polaris and honda is almost the same, so honda will have a hard time with all the new products from Polaris.
