i have a 99 sp500 with 900 miles on it and a guy i ride with offered me 4750 for it.is this a good price for a CLEAN 99 model with 900 miles???please give me your opinion.

Come on now Cobster! $5750??? They run $6050 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas right now. That is a good deal for the guy though. I would say to ask $5500 and take $5300. I wouldn't go under $5000 by any means. That dude is trying to screw you. Do you really want to sell it or was this just a spur of the moment offer? Where do you go from a Sportsman? Sportsman H.O. I hope! Good luck buddy.

You maybe right after I said that I had sold my 99 in spring for $5900.00,hey summer has gone fast.I think I'd look in the paper and see what they are bringing you can allways come down.I had gave $6200.00,out the door for mine.Hunting season here and they'll bring a premium,I had several calls after first guy bought mine.I could have sold a dozen and no haggle on price.CM

 

I am in a deal right now and selling mine for 6300$. IT has 1250 miles and is a 2000, start high. YOu can always go down

 

Heck CM I would take $5750 for my 2000 with 1000 miles on it so I could go buy the HO hehehe going to go talk to my dealer today about what kind of trade in he will give me on one of the HO silver devils...

 

yea it was kind of a spur of the moment offer,i thought it was kind of low.im goin to jonesboro ar.today to see what they will give me on a trade on a du sp500HO.if that doesnt work ill run it in the paper for 5500.is that fair guys??thanks for the input.

you need to be a salesman.I let the Mudrunners,clutch kit,2yrs left on the extrended warrenty, and the plow go with mine[99 Sportsman] here in Mi and got 58OO for it with 1400 miles on it.You can buy the damn things brand new for 6200 here in Mi right now.I had it in the paper for 2 wks before anyone even bit on it[the price].This old guy had just had one stolen and he did'nt even test ride mine,I just started it up and he left a 200 deposit and came with the rest of the cash the next day.Cobs going to be selling my next one for me [lol]===Bill

 

iv just got the HO bug!! i hope its worth the trade,my bike is a darn good machine,no problems at all except one set of b.pads.i ran it in the paper for 5500.
