Hey ffwth did you ever have the 250 out at the dunes before you put on the HPD pipe? I have a friend that his daughter rides and she has trouble going up some taller dunes and was wondering how much the pipe helps.

With all the mods it is plenty fast, just not enough to make it up the big hills. And I love two strokes, but just want the reliability of the four strokes so we don't have to worries about it. Like last trip to the dunes it was so hot the 250 would just overheat.

I ride mine mostly at the dunes. It is not the ideal dune machine, but it does very well. There is little I can't get up, but I won't lie and say it gets up everything. There is some knarly stuff I can't make it up. Lots of others can't either. Set it up with a GOOD set of paddles and it will get her up anything she is willing to go up. The Edges from SkatTrak or SandStars from ITP or Dune Runners from Kenda in 22" size are good choices in that order.

Got to the dunes and the scrambler was awsome, went everywhere. No 4 wheel drive even needed, Was a great weekend at the dunes Untill the Scrambler rolled trying to turn around on a steep bowl. Scary watching your wife get rolled over by a 500+ LB quad

I take my 500 scrammy to the oregon dunes all the time.. (just north of coos bay since I live in bandon) And it does fine.. especially when you take the 500+ lbs of the scrammy and add my gentle 300lbs to the equation.... It will do everything I Want it to do and more.... as was stated if you can get a run at it, you can go up it.. had only one problem getting up a hill when i couldn't get a run at it.. and this is without paddle's.....

also my 88' 250 trail boss does awesome at the dunes!!
