The shootout is next & the 05 Predator will turn some heads in the Polaris direction. So far..so good...Polaris, now let the Predator break 80 mph out of the box & you've made a believer out of me.

The tlds are different in the shifting aspect.....I don't see all the hype about them though....yeah I like a newer machine, with less bugs....but I haven't had a problem with mine yet, and my suspension is just as good, if not better than the tld.....so it would cost me too much to switch. I think they are all great machines, I have one of the first 03's(I think the second one that Nicholas Cycle got in), and haven't had a problem yet.....I also have a suspiciion that mine is quicker(stock) than others that are stock.

oh,the 80 mph is a good point, after all the overall top limit is 75 mph since the 80',,as far as i known those thumper can all run that speed with simple gearing changes and rev litimer setting up.

Ok I found the dirtwheels mag. I guess when I bought the one last week it was not the October issue. I have not got a chance to read it yet, bit when I do I will be on the same page.

dirtwheels said the TLD suspension is harder and better for racing, a higher set rev limiter, and the steering stem has been raised one inch- both preds have a newly redesigned seat, led tail light and some other new junk. oh and for the 80 mph out of the box, some safety organization (cant remember the name) limits ATV's to a 75 mph top speed, thats why the DS 650 is so undergeared, with a simple sprocket change you could make the DS do 85-no sweat.
