Could it be the rider.

My brother draged the YFZ once and lets just say he was eaten roost. But this doesn't mean the Pred is better or the YFZ stinks, just my brother is a better rider. But we do most of our racing through the woods. We don't drag much, we just see how fast we can go around a 18 mile loop. This is where the guy on the YFZ can't keep up. Have you raced the guy since he got his YFZ?

I ride w/ knobbies so dyno numbers on Hoosiers, slicks, or golf cart tires don't mean anything to me.. Your numbers sound very accurate..

To do fair comparisons between quads the tires need to be the same for all. I see no reason not to use the "slicks" after all the whole point of going to the dyno in the first place is to measure engine hp not tire slip against the dyno drum. Just my .02.....

my neighbors have 2 preds...we take them to mexico about once a month, and my YFZ is faster than both...the pred is just too heavy...it has 65 pounds on the YFZ...its an awesome bike for polaris' first sport bike, but its just so bulky...
