1986 Trail Boss - Neutral Light
#1
This ATV's got the two indicator lights on the back of the headlight, that are supposed to light up red when in reverse and green when in neutral. We've recently replaced the light bulb for the neutral indicator and the headlight bulb itself. As of right now the headlight itself works, and the reverse indicator works, but the neutral indicator doesn't seem to work properly yet.
The only time the neutral indicator light seems to turn on, is when the switch for the headlight is on hi-beam. If you switch to lo-beam, the neutral indicator light turns off.
Any ideas?

Oh, really? Heh, so you're saying this green indicator light we've got there isn't a neutral light at all, and is the hi-beam indicator light? Well, that makes me happy, almost, that nothing else is wrong with this thing's wiring. heh.
Much appreciated.

Nice, I really do appreciate it.
What parts manual do you have? Is it the Haynes or something like that? I ask because I'm looking for some diagrams or some assistance in the transmission / shaft / leaking area ...
Thanks!
