My brother got a new frame for his Pred. After he painted it I weighed it. It weighed 31lbs without the sub-frame. I don't know if this is considered heavy, but what do the other sport quad frame weigh? Just seeing if there is a big difference.

 

weight on the predator is a issue but if they don't crack you have to wonder if that is a issue.

 

Do us all a favor since you got it apart right now still? possibly? Weigh the axle, swingarm, subframe, a arms. So we can see what weighs the most, I know the swingarm and axle do but let us know what they are at.

 

are there many lighter parts for the predator yet.

 

The only lighter frame piece i have seen is the subframe made by rath racing...A whole 5 pounds[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

rear axle you can use a durablue x-33 which is about 13 lbs. This why I wanted to know weight of stock axle, they both have lifetime warranty on bending or breaking. They have lighter weight swingarms, light weight batteries.

 

what battery are you using on the predator that is lighter. i heard about the one they use on the ktm 525 bike.

 

I guess weight savings could come from: Nicholas Cycle's 2.5lb battery, Marvin Shaw shocks, Rath Sub-frame, Durablew(j/k) axle, aftermarket silencer, aftermarket clutch perch, aftermarket tires/wheels, billet hubs, trim plastics, remove airbox, remove heel guards, lighten flywheel, billet brake pedal and shifter.... Im sure there ar emore ways but thats all I could think of....
