Owner has been trying to get a new 400 Xplorer for a customer, and the Polaris DM said "won't be any available, they have gone away". Said he would keep us informed. I know Walexa just bought one, was it one of the last of them available? How about you guys, heard anything? Thats all I know, I will try to find out more and let you know.

Is that why they took the pod off? They were using up the consoles from the old 300 Express? Did they use up all of the 400 Fuji engines? Was the 2001 X-400 a "build-out machine?"

ChopperBill, you have peaked my curiosity.

ChopperBill,

I believe the info. you've received is wrong. I just bought one Friday, as soon as it was unloaded from the delivery truck. The local dealers have been issued the new price lists for them, and another dealer over the internet has gotten at least 1 in. I did notice that "Robin" brand name was on the engine, but I think that Fuji and Robin are merged as one company. Anyway, let us know what you find out.

This issue of Dirt Wheels says they ARE making the machine for 2001. The dealer down the road from me has one along with scads of SP500s. It would be in my truck heading to the river for a ride/swim if I had the $$$$$$$$. The 400 unforunately will disappear due to the tree-hugging, left-wing liberals (GORE) due to tighter emission standards.

I called my dealership today for another reason which i posted about somewhere else. I had read this post previously, so after I got my questions answered I asked about the xplorer 400 being removed from the line up. They said no. they are still out and yes have 2001's out. If your dealership dont have one in stock they can order one. this goes along with what others are saying. Dont know about the future though. rangerchet

Yea we got the fax about the new Xplorer a few weeks ago. Could be a misunderstanding between the owner and the Polaris DM

Xplorer300: $5899
Asked the owner "whats up" people seeing 400 Xplorers all over and had the fax on the new changes. He called factory and placed an order for one. So there must have been a misunderstanding between him and the DM. I will be a little more cautious before posting, sorry ;(
