Default Trail pipe and pipe guard?

I finally got my bike back and its running great. It does seem that the pipe guard is resting on the pipe itself though. I was wondering if this would cause the ceramic coating to crack, or ruin it? If it isn't a problem then I won't worry about it. But if it is, how do I keep the pipe guard off the pipe? Thanks for the replies. Hopefully I'll get some pics posted this week.

thewayout420, So you just removed your guard all together, doesn't the pipe burn your leg?

My leg gets kinda warm with the guard on. I can't ride in shorts anyway.

Yea I usually don't ride with shorts just cause its way too hot. I just want to keep the pipe looking good for as long as possible. To do that I should probably just leave the guard off, right?

I took my pipe guard off, and you have to be careful, never wear shorts. Though it is easier to clean and looks better with out it. I would never go back.
