We have a SP335 in our club, I am not impressed with it. My wife likes my Rancher she is 5'4" & 120 pounds. The Kodiak has light steering (great for woods riding), & plenty of power for her. Another option might be the SP400 when it comes out.
If you have a 4x4 I would highly recommend you get her a 4x4 also!

My wife actually purchased 2 00' trailblazers while I was at work. I came home and they where in the garage. She thought it would be fun for the family. After a few rides, she told me to go buy my own, the Trailblazers where for her and my son
Now I have the Scrambler. I would not worry about picking a ATV out for your wife. She can do it. Just ask her what she wants. My wife is asking for a pipe and clutch kit now.

I won't suggest a manufacturer but the size is pretty important for the girls. First we got my wife a recon. Great fun ride but then we got a RancherES 2x4. She has so much more confidence on the Rancher that's she able to keep up with the group. The floorbards, no foot shifter, clearance and stability play a big part.

My girlfriend wants a 325 Magnum 2 wheel drive. she loves to go and is now wanting her own, she likes riding on my SP but not driving it. It is god to have the female in your life hooked , her daughter is hooked too she so badly wants us to get another one.

Do not make the mistake of going to too small of a motor either. My wife is 5 foot 3 inches, 110 lbs. She has her mind set on the DU 500HO. I tried to get her to go for something easier to kick around (Scram500)...but she wanted "big and cumfy." Plus sometimes smaller engine does not equal smaller weight and better handling. (ex: SP335 vs. SP500)
Just my opinion.

I have a 300 AC 4X4, and I got my wife a xplorer
250. She is 5'1" and approx 110 lbs. She loves the way it handles on the trails, it is so much more responsive than the AC. Sometimes when I go with the guys I take the xplorer because it is quicker also. My suggestion is to go to your Polaris dealer and let her try the 250.

true to small of a motor can be dangerous, hence an atv like the Recon 250, the guy who rides with us some, has one and he wiped out a few times trying to keep up, just does not have the motor or the suspension to follow.. The 250 Xplorer is really much quicker and better suspended than most any 250 or 300 utility atv that I have ridden. I figure the Mag 325 is not very fast but it has decent suspension. and it is the one she wants, that is a big factor make sure she is confy with what she is getting. I have seen alot of woman shy aways when they are nervous about the size or the power of an atv of snowmobile.
