My husband and I just bought quads about 6 weeks ago. He got the Polaris Sportsman 500 and I got the new Honda Rubicon. I'm about the same height as your wife - a bit heavier. I found the Rubicon much easier to steer and that it had better manoverability for me. I like the independent suspension on the Polaris, but the downhill automatic breaking, steering and general ease of driving on the Rubicon is great for me. We go out every weekend and try new trails. I can't get enough of it. It's a great way to spend time together, enjoy the outdoors and have fun. I feel like we're dating again.

 

Thanks everyone for all the great input. I have decided to rent a 400 Explorer for my wife, we are going to Park Falls,WI this labor day weeked, ATV Rally & Trail Riding. Can't wait!! She is going to try my 500 SP on the trails and see how she likes it. If she likes my 500 I am going to give her that one so I can go buy a new 500 HO. Will fill u all in about the trip when I return.

 

My wife is hooked also we are planing a trip to Little Sahara sometime this month she has a new to her 400 sport she likes it better than her 250 trailboss. She is addicted to speed!! David
