I recently purchased a 500 SP,and well to my suprise, my wife took it for a ride. She enjoyed it so much that we were back at the dealer looking for one for her. Anybody else have recommendations as to what a good model ATV for a Women approx. 5'3"-115lb. She has a little trouble handling my 500. She did take a 330 SP for a test drive, but was wondering about Honda, if they had any model that is easier handling. Any info would be much appreciated.

Hydroman724, My wife drives a Xplorer 400, but she is also 6'1". It makes a great backup for me. I'd look at the Honda Rancher,Xplorer250,Magnum 325,or Yamaha Wolverine.

Congrats !!! How'd you do that ? My wife has very little interest in it. Just rolls her eyes at me.

You've already gotten some good ideas. Just let me add, Honda Recon. If you want 4x4 forget that.

I'm absolutely certain that Polaris has something in the lineup for your wife. Magnum 325 if you want 4x4, Trailblazer or Trailboss if you don't.

Just don't get her a Scrambler. You won't be able to keep up.

My wife got "hooked" this year too. I got her a 500 Magnum, 50 lbs lighter and quite a bit nimbler than mine(the ATV). Took a ride on 6 miles of the tuffest road she had been on yesterday and got along great, real proud of her. Did notice the rear axle on the Mag. didn't perform as well as mine. Kind of stuck up in the air on the tough stuff. If your looking for a Polaris, my opinion, I would wait for the new 400 Sportsman. It sounds like it would fit your wife perfectly.

How about the Yamaha Wolverine? My friend has one and it seems to light and aggile enough. It is full time 4-wheel drive and I think it is a 400.
Just a thought!!

The wolverine is a 350cc. I would really look into the Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 and 2x4. They are autos, very agile, sporty, and a really nice all around atv. I think she would like the auto. and with the engine compression braking, she would be safe! It is really a nice bike, arragghhh. I cant belive i just used the word BIKE, i cant stand when people say bikes for atvs. So i mean it is a great All Terrain Vehicle.

My wife loves her y2k Kodiak 4x4.

It is easy to steer, automatic, and cosiderably smaller & lighter than my Sportsman 500.

She also comments that the handlebar is positioned better for her, and that makes steering it a lot more comfortable.

I bought my wife a 250 explorer,she loves it.
Everybody that has rode it likes it.You will
find that it will keep up with anybody on the
trails, except for the speed racers, and will
outmud & hill climb most of the yamahammers.
ONE last thing it steers very easy.

Take at the 425 magnum, Polaris has the best ride of any. My wife likes her TRX300, but soon will be mounted on a Polaris 30 more days. The Honda will still be in corral. Just by a Polaris. I ride red for now. Les
