help on 96 400 scrambler

Default help on 96 400 scrambler

i keep hearing a clicking noise and it sounds like its comin from the fornt chain[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img] HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default help on 96 400 scrambler

Check the bearing carrior right in front of the motor. It is the most comon to get neglected. If you need one I have one that I will sell you.

You can also check and make sure that yo don't have a roller missing on the chain. It will also create a clicking noise.

listen,check front sprocket shape inside and out,be sure chain
is on good tension 3/4 of inches is enough,check for swingarm
bending or crack,if the chain slap the swingarm then is another
story,you need to soft the secondary spring tension a bit.
stock chain tensioner is a joke on those '96,an aftermarket
tensioner really help and worth the extra cash.
