Got a superwinch atv3000, but i always hit the "roggle" switch on the bars when i'm riding. Its starting to chew up my fairlead and the loop at the end of the cable. I noticed my neighbor's dealer puts a nice switch on the pod to turn the power off. Which wire should i switch to do this? I had the winch installed, and there are lots of wires lol Thanks, tyler.

 

you should have a small red wire that is coming from your solenoid that goes to your switch. You can take and cut the wire and put a switch in between it so you can turn it off and on.

ok thanks. how many amps should the switch be rated for? and i had a dealer install my winch, but the solenoid is upside down. superwinch said that should be dealt with asap, but we havent gotten around to it yet. why is it so important to have it right side up? TIA TYLER

 

yes the solenoid must be right side up. It will fail fast upside down.
