Default handlebar shake

My top bearing in my handlebar assembly is shot. Has anyone ever done this repair, is it doable for the average Sportsman owner (500 HO)? If not, amnyone know of the going rate for a repair? thanks, Hdnvn

If it is anything like the last gen machines, then yes, it is very easy to do by yourself.

The bushing should be a 2 piece, you just have to take off the plastic on the center of the handlebars, loosen up the bushing retainer, and replace the bushings. Making sure to grease it well.

I just finished that same project on my Sport. I also changed the lower bushing too. But, if yours is anything like the Sport, then it's a piece of cake. Took all of about 15 minutes to do. Nothing to it.

i dont know if the sportsman is like the scrambler but hotseat sells an upper and lower replacement for the steering bushings. the upper looks alot better built than the factory one. i already have the lower one and it's awesome compared to stock.

still don't know if they are the same or not though
