IRS Shock Adjustment
#12
Has anyone ever adjusted your handlebars foreward an inch or so to transfer some of your weight foreward when climbing hills.
I normally try to ride forward in the saddle, and the bars seem to close to me, when I go up hills, I just try to lean forward..
I see people standing up when going up hills does this help????

Another reason I want to move my bars forward an inch or 2 is that when I stand up to cross over rocks or logs, I always hit the thumb throttle off of my leg.
I had one of those thumbsavers on and it would always hit into my tank bag or leg, one time I was in low range and I was trying to cross a log, and it hit the tank bag, and it sent my front end straight up, I luckilly reacted by mashing the brake lever, and it stopped the power to the rear, and it brought the front down ......... Needless to say the thumbsaver is gone.....
I like the tank bag, so ifigure If I push the bars forward It will serve 2 purposes: 10 more weight forward when climbing hills 2) I'll have clearance for my tank bag.
I also see guys with their knees up on there seat on technical stuff, I would think this woiould make you more top heavy, I guess it does help with the shifting of your weight easily
