Dosn't anyone wear a helmet?

After a few wipe-outs I am glad I always wear mine. As for the heat thing, it is false. When riding in the sun put your helmet in the shade and when you put it back on it actually cools down your noggin'... Just take it off when pushing another quad out of the mud or up a hill because then your head really overheats!
This may sound extreme but it is because of careless people, no matter to what degree, that everyone else looks so badly upon our sport!
As for me I got laughed at for buying all the riding equiptment to go riding in the woods... but who cares?! It looks cool and I am protected doing 50 MPH in the middle of nowhere! Gloves keep the blisters away, pants keep your knees cool, kidney belt = less Tylonol at the end of the day and boots keep your ankles from breaking. As for the helmet...well that keeps your brain from melting!
Warning: These are only my opinions.

I almost never wear a helmet. I will if it is raining real hard or if its real dusty, like right now. I messes up my peripheral vision too much. You know what I mean? One of the things I like to do is check out the mountains while I'm riding. Its very scenic where I ride, its real common to run into herds of elk, and deer. I miss alot of that when I wear a helmet. Seeing something out of the corner of my eye is alot easier when I can actually see out of the corner of my eye.
I would'nt wear a helmet on my street bike either if it wasn't against the law. That all my seem pretty weak, but its my choice. All personal safty issues should be personal choices.

I never said that there should be a federal law making you wear one, but because of the few injuries that I have seen to people without helmets I will wear one unless I am puttering in the yard. I am the last person in the world that says that government should control your life. I am the first person to reccomend wearing a helmet for your own safety!!!!

Nothing like putting a little kid on a machine capable of 55mph. If I would have had that when I was a kid, I'd be pretty gimpy by now. I hope this kid is under some supervision. Or at least has some sense. Thats a pretty hot quad for a 10 yr. old.

Nice to meet you 3TV. I think...
My only concern here was your son's safety. You don't have to carry a 90 I.Q. to know he's too small for a 300EX. And though he's a better rider than I am, he will get even better and smart enough not to let his ten year old child ride a machine too big to handle. We know this bacause you're teaching him. On the trail, he will always wear his helmet, like you...
