i have a 2000 trailboss and it doesn't shift right..... . The idle is very low...almost too low. It is barley sputtering to keep alive. When you shift from neatrual to high or neatrual to reverse, it makes a grindng noise, then jerks into gear, shaking the entire 4-wheeler. I don't know what to do. If you have any tips, and any trouble shooting, please fill me in.

HA, I have a 2001 trial boss and it does the same stuff. Except it only makes that grinding noise when i have it reving high or if I make the shift rreeaalllyy slow, so maybe your doing one of those things. With the dieing i think it just need the throttle cable adjusted but im not sure, I posted a thread on here so you can check in on that too.

You can adjust your throttle by the idle screw on the side of the carb(exhaust side, can be turned by hand, turn it when its running and then push the throttle and let it slow down again, and you should notice an increase/decrease(depending on which way you turned it) in the idle rpm's)......as for the shifting, never heard of the, usually happens when its reving up too high......your linkage near the gearbox, or somewhere may need adjusted, which would let it go into gear easier......also check your tranny fluid(might be time to change it too)
