What sealant (RTV, etc. ?) do you use for the 90 degree brass fuel line fittings that screw into the bottom of the plastic gas tank. They are leaking, I first replaced the fuel lines that went to the fuel valve (petcock) but that wasn't the culprit. I have heard conflicting info at the Auto stores from soap to Teflon thread tape to certain Permatex RTV sealants (my first thought Black, Blue, Ultra, # 2?) which all do not hold up to gasoline.
Thanks, any info or past experience would be helpful.

I would use thread tape or pipe dope for fuel service. We use both on our pipeline equip. here at work and both do very well.

I had the same problem with my o3' 600. I had to take the tank off and replace all the metal foil under the tank, it was saturated with gas. I bought a tibe of sealeant at the dealer that worked well, it was about $18.00 a tube. The RTV does not work.... The new bikes are redignes, this was another polaris slip up..... great!!

I ended up using teflon tape and so far so good. I tested some by soaking it in some gas to see if it held up and it did.
