Default Breaking in a new scrambler

Monday I am picking up the 05 Scrambler 500 HO. Just courious as to how to break it in.
Some are telling me break it in like I'll be riding it, others are telling me to take it easy, and don't go fast for 50 - 100 miles.
Any suggestions?

Perfect, that is exactly what I have been hearing and what I planned to do (unless I heard a lot of counter talk about doing it that way). With the little knowledge I have about them I had plans to do it that way. My cousin races at the salt flat in Utah on a 1350 cc Ninja on NOS and he was saying the same thing to me. I figured he was the most knowledgable about engines I know since he does it all himself.
