power loss after engine temps go up?
#1
Anyone else notice this? After I've been putting in some hard laps around the track it seems like there is some power loss. Doesn't seem to have quite the same snap right out of the corners... I just checked the valves last week and everything was within specs. Intake/filter is clean, jetting seems to be ok. Its odd Its done this for quite some time now, but I was curious if anyone had any ideas?

Is it overheating? Have you checked and replaced your coolant? Is your oil the right kind, and is it at the right level? Is your fan kicking on when it should?
As a rule, more heat equals less power. When you start noticing this, then there is probably something wrong.

It is not overheating to my knowledge. Coolant is full and to the proper levels on the overflow tank. And the oil is at the correct level and I run the same PS4 that Polaris recommends to run in it. My fan kicks on and off fine, and I've only ever had my over-heat sensor light come on once. I have gone both ways (richer and leaner) with my jetting and have not noticed a decrease/increase in the response once it got up to normal temps. Don't get me wrong its certainly not a "dog" after it warms up you can just notice it doesn't have quite the same "snap" that is has before it gets to running hard.
