Default dead srambler 400

OK here is the deal. I was driving my srammy yesterday and shut it off to watch the football game. Then I went back out and tried to start it. I have to pull start it because my starter relay is bad and maybe my battery. I pulled and pulled and nothing. I tried using starting fluid and nothing. I check me plug and found no spark. I wigdled some wires on the circuit board and got a spark for 2 seconds, maybe. Then nothing. I tested the wire harness going into the CDI box and got juice going into the CDI. Then I tested the wiring running to the ignition coil and had no juice. Is this a bad CDI box? Thanks for your input.

I have an 03 tbr 400, had the same problem. Ended up being that the reverse speed limiter went out. You can by-pass it though without replacing it. Check in this forum for someone who knows how.

OK problem is resolved. I bought a new CDI box and my scrambler fired up with the first pull (waiting on parts fro electric start). It then started to die out at full throttle. Resolved that problem also. The gas tank vent hose had touched the muffler and melted shut so the tank was creating a vacuum. Runs great....for now.
