I am looking to buy a plow for this winter for my 04' 700 EFI. I have it kinda narrowed between the polaris glacier plow with the warn 2.5ci winch or a complete warn plow system with the 2.5ci winch. both would be 60'' blades. my dealer has the glacier blade priced low for me at $775 installed plus I have a polaris coupon for $50 off an accessory purchase of 200 or more which brings it down to $725 or I can get the complete warn package at www.rcsoffroad.com for $679 with free shipping after using a 10 dollar discount code they emailed me. I would have to install the warn plow myself. any of you other polaris owners using anything else or have one of these plow setups and if so how are they.

I have a 60" moose and really like it. Its mounted on a warn 2.5 which works well. Winch cost me about 250, and another 350 for the plow and hardware and install.

I have an american eagle that is really nice, and heavy duty, $329 shipped to you. I also use the 2500 warn winch that works great.

I have a glacier plow with 48" blade and love it. The glacier mounting system is great and you can easily install or remove it in well under 30 seconds. My only complaint is with the blade not being heavy enough for heavily packed snow but a weight bar will take care of that. I also use the 2.5 Warn winch with it and it works well.

I've not used a warn plow setup so I cant comment on their product.

I ordered the Glacier plow system with the 60" V plow. My 2004.5 700EFI has the WARN 2.5ci winch as well, I bought the V-Plow complete glacier system for 589.00 installed at the Polaris Dealer here locally. I like the V plow, as you can configure it six different ways, to plow varying types of snow. Not sure how much it wieghs yet, so I can't tell you how well it pushes heavy snow, but then again, I would use my 5 foot bucket on my 4wd tractor for that anyway....

I also have a Moose 60" County plow. I lift and lower it with a Warn 2000 winch. It works real well.

I agree with this 100%, just wish I'd gotten a bigger winch instead of the small one that mounts down on the plow frame. I got the 48" blade instead of 60" because I plow a lot of sidewalks around here. I did my own installing & bet you could too! Why pay the dealer's labor charge? The Glacier setup just flat beats the H*!! out of the Cycle Country setup I had for my '02 SP500.

Does anyone know about the possibility of attaching/adapting a Glacier plow to a Bombardier 2003 Traxter?

Thank you

thanks alot for all the great comments. I chose the glacier plow system with a warn 2.5ci winch. my local polaris dealer has the quad right now for a recall concerning the throttle cable so after reading all the great things about the glacier setup I told them to install one while they had it in the shop. I got the 60'' blade so I don't track in a narrow path or get snow falling back into my clean path. I got the complete setup with the winch for $725 installed after using a $50 polaris coupon. my cousin just picked his new 700 carb model up from the same dealer yesterday and got a glacier setup installed on it too, he drove over after he left the dealer and I was very impressed with the plow and winch and especially the speed of the winch lowering and raising the plow. can't wait to get mine back and play with it this winter.
IT NEEDS TO HURRY UP AND SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
