does anyone know how many volts should be showing when you test off the battery leads w/ out the battery connected and the 02 500 ho sportsman running. im tring to see if i fried the charging system by using the winch too much ty steve

Default charging system

if your battery is in good shape it should show about 12.6volts , but if it is older then around 12volts. when system is charging full then 14 volts.....

Default charging system

If you've been using your winch a lot, without giving your battery time to recharge, my bet is the battery is fried.
