I could not get mine out without at least loosening the plastic and gas tank. You don't have to totally remove them. The gas tank is held down by the two bolts in the rear, by the seat. Once you remove those it can be tilted forward to give you clearance. Others say they can do it with everything in place. It doesn't take that long when you get used to it.

once you do get to it. Put in the iridium NGK. There about $7 a piece. But well worth it. It's the last time you will ever really need to change it. The original is NGK. So it's not like your switching brands. Just a better plug. Try this link.

My wife and kids would ride my atv and foul the plugs. Now it doesn't foul. And I'm sure it's just me, but I get a little more pep from low end.

I dont even screw around with it. I just take the front plastic and gas tank off and make it easier on myself. Takes me 5 minutes tops. I have never had a plug foul on me with this machine.....ever! And I just run the regular NGK V-Power that came in it. You can get them for a lot cheaper ($1.68) from Advanced Auto Parts.

I've run the reguler NGK and the Iridium. And the Iridium is better. I have a trailblazer and it's way easy to get to my spark plug and I still use the Iridium. If I had a scrambler.(Wish that I did) And I had to go through the trouble of getting to the plug. I would put a plug in I knew I wouldn't have to mess with for a long time. A couple of bucks more is well worth not having to go through the hassle of changing plugs.
