Dirt Wheels has the 800 EFI Test
I just got the November DirtWheels, they test the 800 EFI. Pretty impressive write-up. I can agree with all the praise for the suspension since I have a new '05 700 EFI. The show a picture of the 800 doing a wheelie. They did shred a belt during the test when beating on the machine for awhile, but replaced with a new belt and didn't have any more problems (the belts have a lifetime warranty also).
They said the power was amazing, they are going to do a future article comparison between the 800 EFI, the Kawasaki Brute Force and the Suzuki 700 EFI. Speaking of the motor, their quote was 'All the rider has to do is hold on - and hang on you must'. Even on my 700 EFI, its hang on time with the torque and acceleration. I'm sure the same feeling is there when you own other machines like the Kawasaki Brute Force, Prairie, etc.
I can't claim my 700 EFI is the best machine out there, but I do know that whatever you are on is the best machine under your ***. Just as long has we have some metal, plastic and rubber strapped to our butts, we'll all be happy, no matter what it is.
