Default Trying out SP700EFI and King Quad 700EFI Friday

Dealer gave me a call today to let me know a red KQ came in. He will have a SP700EFI there to so I can try both out. If the KQ comes out the winner, it will be comeing home with me. I plan on racing GNCC with either next year. If the Polaris wins, I will wait for the 800.

I'm still undecided on that. My 38 year old body after each race feels like 70. The Pred handle's awesome and has great power, but racing ***** to the walls for over 2hrs gives my body a serious beating. My last race after 3 laps I was hoping I would be getting the checkerd flag, but I got the white one meaning one more lap. I was beat. I'm hopeing a IRS quad will help me not take so much abuse. I still want to race, but the way I'm going, my body won't be able to handle it. I don't get to practice as much as most do, so my stanima is like most of the youngsters I race against.

lol GE......You atleast know the polaris will ride nicely......they ride like a caddy......doesn't your bro have a pred though??

If so, does he still have the hpd spring kit on it??? How does he like it?? How do you have them set(clear to the top, exteneded all the way)?? Any mods you did to them?? Of course these questions only make sense if he does have it.....

Is this the 05 SP700EFI or 04? The way you sit on the two is VERY different, I like the way you sit on the 05 better myself....

Yep, my brother still has his Pred, and his just plain rips. He get's to ride his a lot more then I do so his stanima is good.

Both of the atv's that I trying tonight are 05's.

Well, I just got back from the dealer. And all I can say is, both are awesome atv's. But to compare, I would say acceleration was about even, but considering the Polaris weighs 160lbs more, it took off just as good as the KQ. Handleing again was very close, but I would give the edge to the Polaris. I think mostly due to the better tires. So if both had the same tire's, I would call it even. For a heavy quad, the sp700 sure did handle well. Both were very comfy, but I give the ergo to the KQ. Just the way you sat on it with your hand on the bars felt more aggressive or sport like. So after going around there track, and leaving roost on a couple of cars, I came home with a red KQ700. The only reason I picked the KQ over the SP700 was the weight difference. I plan on racing GNCC with this, so weight does come into play. If I was doing anything else, I would of bought the SP700EFI. Well the $1000 savings didn't hurt either. Got the KQ for $6900otd. They both were well built and would make anybody a great quad.
