k&N vs Uni. Air box verse open element.

the problem is I bought my scrammy used, and I don't have a lid. So pretty much my filter is only sheilded from the elements, but will still suck in water if I go deep enough.
So all the air box mods I did before were a waste anyway. I'm going to go uni pod filter and be extra carful, I usually don'ty ride waterey trails alone anyway, so I get my friend to go through everything first on my big red to see how deep the water is since it has a snorkel.

i run the filtercharger which elimiates the airbox...it give good power down low and gives it a deeper sound also. i wouldnt go back to a stock airbox and i ride through some mud and fairly deep water. we run one on our 400 that is stock and it performs very very good

I just got my buddies Pred. back together. We went with no air box and a Uni. Filter. I will post back to night when I get to ride it. I tore it a part and sent the carb off to Nicholas Cycle....and they sent the filter and the Pure Polaris pipe, and the carb back today. It's back together now. And I have no keys to play with it. Did all this work and he don't leave the keys.

not really but sometimes it does bog if alot of water gets onto it but u just let off the gas and kinda tap it then its back to normal. it well worth the 35 it cost and the 10 for the prefilter which is waterresistant
