DOES ANYONE HAVE A DG SILENCER ON A 95 400 SCRAMBLER (2 STROKE) I WAS WONDERING BECAUSE MY FMF BROKE OFF AND I BOUGHT A DG I WAS WONDERING HOW THEY PERFORM COMPARED TO A FMF.

 

I put a dg universal on my 2002 last night. it was like $49.00 from dennis kirk. Its not specific to my scrambler and I havn't even riden the quad yet. I had it laying around from a previous application and put it on primarily becuase of weight. I didn't formally weigh it but its alot lighter then the stock muffler and has no baffles, it also wasn't that much louder then the stock one. I took it off my previous 4stroke application becuase it was obnoxiously loud.

I hope to ride tonight so I may have more information tommorrow.

The muffler I has as I don't know which one you are getting doesn't have a spark arrester.

ok well I went riding last night. So i figured I would write back.

I had this muffler laying around so I tried it, its probably the cheapest muffler dg makes. I put it on to see what it would do its also considerably lighter then the factory muffler.

Well going into this not expecting anything, I was actually quite impressed with the performance I felt now I normally ride earlier with more sunlight so maybe things felt faster, but donuts were easier as were wheelies, power at a jump, etc with this muffler. It also leaned out my mixture some. I didn't find it that much louder then stock personally.

Prior I thought and felt as if I had thrown money away on this thing since it made my last application so loud(4stroke) now this may have been some of the best money I have spent.
