Winter is coming! Power to the 4X4's
#1
Well winter is coming and this year i'm going to replace the crappy stock tires on my Xplorer for some real rubber.
My Xplorer 400 is stock.
I have two questions.
1. What is the rim size on the front and back. I'm at work and it's slow so i figured i would do some shopping.
2. Which is better is snow Mudlites or 589's? Also which has a longer life span. Dad takes the ATV from time to time and will go into town with it so i would like it to be able to somewhat stand up to tar.
Thanks guys.

i have no idea about the tires, but i am also looking forward to some snow so i can play in it with my xplorer 400 only problem is snow is pretty rare around here

I would at least put 26's on it, would be a prob at all. And getting a 26 or taller you'd get a taller tread then running a 25. My 27" Dirt Devils do a good job in the snow, just isn't all that good in the mud though.

My riding buddys have Mudlites and 589's. The Mudlites are 27in and the 589's are 26in. IMO I like the 589's a little better, but both are awesome tires. I don't know which is best in the snow because they got them this summer (and Arkansas doesn't get much snow anyway LOL). Good luck, and BTW your post is on 660 (cool!).
