You can get the bearing through Napa for a lot cheaper. My buddy (Predboy) had a problem with the rear bearign on his 03 Pred too. He let it go too long and it ruined the axle carrier.

make sure that the jam nut is tight it might have backed off a little bit and that might account for the loose axle.

Default rear axle bearings

I have an '03 Predator 500 and i race about 2-3 times a month, motocross and hair scrambles and i never had a problem with the rear bearings till a month ago. Raced one race so far with them just a little loose but want to tighten them up like what was mentioned to prolong the life of these bearings and not have to put new ones in yet. How do you tighten them up?

Welcome! Look at you model under "rear axle and housing" will show the pinch screw you have to loosen then you tighten the big nut. Browse If you haven't replaced bearings and seals, might be time to do so especially if you race it. Tightening the nut may just be a temporary fix and may still have play even after you do. OPT
