Default 700 EFI or carbed 700?

I was going to buy a new Suzuki King Quad but now I may stay with a Polaris after the lukewarm reviews so far of the KQ. How much better is the EFI version of Polaris's 700? I don't change attitude and temperatures for riding it are always from 20 - 70 degrees. Does the EFI get beter economy? I will mainly be using this for hunting and fuel consumption is not to be ignored as we go in for a week at a time and have to carry in all our extra gas. Thanks

if u are willing to spend the extra $$$ definalty get the EFI the power comparisons are like night and day. the EFI verson of the 700 get the fuel economy of a Sportsman 400 it does better then my 500 HO. its also nice because there isnt a choke to mess around with in colder weather, just jump on an go.

like i said if u have the extra money get the EFI it will be much worth it

I bought the EFI. It wasn't that much more $$$ and like 4x4 was saying. It really makes a difference. I just love the smoothness in the throttle and the fuel economy is great. I looked at it like this. If I am going to put out that much money for a 700, then what is another few hundred dollars or so for the EFI? I love mine.

We have a 700 carb(getting an 800 soon)......and I think I would rather have gotten an efi, but they didn't quite have them out yet(plus the efi's at that time had horrible tires)......The efi is so much more handy, and easier to use than rejetting all the time. Also the power is smooth and responsive.

A problem with the carb 700's is that they won't start in cold weather without the choke on(and you must ride with the choke on for like 10 min.).....you would think, being made in Minn, they would atleast run in the cold........They did have an update for this though....but just one more reason for efi......

I know the EFI is better.......Just wondering if its worth the $600 more. OTD price on the EFI is 7400 and the carb is 6800.

I feel the EFI is worth the money. And you will enjoy the extra fuel mileage too.

I think the EFI is worth the extra bucks for all the reasons stated above.

I think my otd difference was like $400. Even for $600, I would have gone with the EFI. I rode both on the same day, over the same terrain, and the difference in throtle control and power was amazing.
