I may be wrong but it looks like RAJ is saying the 4x4 doesn't work in reverse from the factory in the scrambler? I thought all you had to do was hit the rev override button and the front wheels also drove.
It sounds like his problem isn't rewiring the reverse override, but loose wires on the 4x4 part?

When I bought mine the override was already by passed, and the 4x4 do not work in reverse. When I did what BBS said to do, it worked great. Now my buddies 500 Scrambler did work in reverse. His is a 03 and mine was 99 400. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

That is what I was thinking. I have the 05 and it works in reverse fine. My 00 Sportsman has the same set up for reverse and 4x4 and it works fine in reverse. It has 4x4 in reverse even without the over ride button, it just isn't that strong until you hit the button.

Would unplugging that connector work on a trailboss also? Or if it's different does anyone know how to do it? I would like to not have to hit that button every time. Thanks

4x4 is locked (in reverse) when you hit the override button (assuming it is in AWD to begin with)
they were talking about by-passing that button

Bing, you all got off course. The original issue was he didn't think his 4x4 worked in reverse at all. Everyone started telling him to cut wires and all for the over ride, but that was not what he was complaining about. He simply thought he didn't have 4x4 when he put it in reverse.
