I usually go up 10 so if your runnin the 170 i would just go to the 180. I never change my pilot in the winter i just back my air/fuel screw out 3/4's of a turn and its runs great.

I have a Mikuni pocket tuner and it says if you are at 170 main now, you will need to go to a 175 at 50 degrees colder than you are now, 180 would be too rich and a loss of performance. Altitude you would change at plus or minus 4000 ft. 4000 ft higher (165) 4000 ft lower (175). Just for your info. The pilot should not need to be changed, but the air or fuel screw depending on application, could be turned in or out 1/4 turn.

180 would probably work ok in that temp. range.

How do you know to rejet for winter? My bike runs great when it's cold. I have never looked at the plug though. What am I looking for?

Thanks
