I have a 1995 Polaris 300. It developed a stalling problem in reverse. At first it would stay running if the override was pushed in. Now it also stalls if the override is engaged in any gear except reverse. Sometimes it sputters in reverse and won't move(override engaged)and then may suddenly work fine.I've already checked the switches(override and AWD)by disassembling them and didn't see any problems.Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you check your reverse limiter? Unplug it and it will probably fix your problem.

 

Unhook the black wire on the reverse limiter and it should be ok but you wont have a limiter.

I unplugged the black wire from the limiter as suggested,works fine now. Thanks. I may replace the offending part at a later date. Thanks again!
